Championship Auto Shows Inc. runs a number of high-profile national auto shows around the nation, including shows such as Autorama and World of Wheels. Supporting these shows are websites, including Autorama and the International Show Car Association. Both websites were in need of a fresh look, and because of the social nature of their events, had to integrate consistently changing content for users. In addition to the new websites, each also had to have a digital marketing plan in place to consistently drive visitors to both sites.
Basso Design Group designed and developed a state-of-the-art website for Autorama that incorporated advanced design features such as 3D parallax effects, HTML5 animations, and custom modeled maps of their nationwide shows. The new website was built on the WordPress CMS platform so that CASI staff could continuously update their show listings with minimal technical knowledge. The modern design and features of the website won a 2013 Davey award for excellence in digital marketing.
Once the Autorama website was launched, attention turned to the International Show Car Association’s website. This was also built using WordPress so that constantly changing information such as standings and awards could be changed on a nightly basis. In addition to the new web presences, digital and social media campaigns were also launched in all major cities that the shows were being held in to help drive ticket sales and web traffic. Due in part to these campaigns, CASI experienced record breaking attendance and web traffic.
